This Privacy Policy explains how EPUBKit collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website. EPUBKit is a free online service for converting ebook files. We aim to collect as little information as possible.
We do not require users to create an account. Files uploaded for conversion are temporarily stored and automatically deleted after processing.
Like most websites, our server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited and time of visit) for security and troubleshooting purposes.
We use uploaded files only to perform the requested conversion. We do not open, read, index, share or sell your files or your data.
Uploaded files and converted files are stored on our server only for as long as needed to complete the conversion and let you download the result. All files are automatically deleted within one hour. We keep no copies.
When you use the Send to Kindle button, you provide a Kindle email address. This address is used solely to deliver your converted file to your device and is not stored, added to any mailing list or used for any other purpose. Emails are sent through Resend, a transactional email provider, which processes the message on our behalf.
To prevent abuse of this free feature, we apply usage limits. For this purpose we temporarily store a hashed (non-readable) version of your IP address and destination email address for 24 hours, after which it is automatically deleted.
We may use cookies to improve user experience. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads and to measure how the website is used. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use EPUBKit, for example which tools are most popular. Google Analytics collects information such as pages visited, approximate location and device type. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

EPUBKit relies on the following third parties to operate: Google (Analytics and AdSense) and Resend (email delivery for Send to Kindle). Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing the data it processes.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. Because we store almost no personal data and delete files automatically, in most cases there is nothing to retrieve. If you have a request, please contact us and we will respond as soon as possible.
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including automatic deletion of files and hashed storage of anti-abuse data, but no system is completely secure.
